The reason that China is talking to them is to draw attention away from all of the bad stuff that is happening in that country, especially in Tibet, leading up to the Olympics. Is the US Government really been that hard on you? The only group that you have mentioned that I believe have any merit are the Lakotah Nation. If the United States had gone into Alaska or Hawaii forced them into the harsh rule and oppressed them to the point where people were dying that would be completely different. And would it really help the economy of Hawaii and Alaska to become independent? Is that what EVERYONE would want? in other words, Never gonna happen amigo...
