Why I always read people from the U.S. thanking their soldiers for protecting them?

That's something I don't get!!!! the U.S. would never be attacked if Your soldiers stayed at home, but what do you expect when your soldiers are sent to the midde east to kill people all for the sake of stealing oil from such region? you people don't go to the middle east to bring peace you go over there to steal oil and in the process you destroy families, churches, cities.. If you indeed cared about bringing peace to other countries, why don't you start by bringing peace to your neighbor nations of Cuba, Colombia andVenezuelaa? of course, you don't care about them because they don't have oil. If your soldiers weren't sent to other countries to cause pain, you wouldn't have to worry about your soldiers having to deffend your country.
