If American Idol used an Electoral College, would Chrystal Bowersox have won?

They could have counted the votes from each State and added up the electoral votes which is the exact amount of electors in each state for the actual Presidential Election(32 Electoral votes in Texas), only instead it would be for American Idol? It would show true widespread support and it would be much less of a popularity contest. The electors would be music judges and would vote for the "Next American Idol".
