Did evie really love tracy in Thirteen?

I'm confused...evie tells tracy several times that she loves her. when she does it seems genuine...like when tracy is asleep and cannot even hear evie say, evie tells tracy that she loves her. even at the end of the movie, when evie betrays tracy, evie tells tracy one last time that she loves her but than proceeds to betray her right after that...? i dont get it? like, esp. at the end, what was the point? was she just pretending the whole time? any ysis is appreciated
