Question about different types of Clindamycin Phosphate products?

The past year I have been using clidamycin phosphate GEL for acne and it worked fairly well. I just went back to the doctor for a refill since it ran out and when I picked it up from Walgreen's, it is a topical solution that you dab on instead of a gel. Do you think it will work as well?
